Wellbeing

Cheshire RFU is committed to looking after both the physical & mental health and well being of it’s Rugby Community.

Fostering a Clubhouse that promotes positive mental wellbeing is a key element in maintaining happy, healthy players on and off the pitch.

Attached to this page are some useful posters to use within your clubhouse to help members check in on their mental wellbeing as well as signposting information for anyone who is struggling.

We encourage all Clubs to appoint at least one Mental Health lead within their club – these people will ideally have access to Mental Health First Aid courses, perhaps either through Club sponsorship or through Free Online Training. They should act as the first point of call for someone who wants to talk and reach out to someone, they are not there as trained professionals, simply as someone who can signpost a person towards appropriate support.

There are many places to obtain extra information, training and support for yourself or a teammate, or Junior player.
