Honda Volunteer of the Year 2023

As we reach the half way point of the Nomination period which ends on Friday 24^th February 2023, this is a polite reminder for you to take this opportunity to nominate one or more of your hard working volunteers from your club. By doing so your volunteer(s) are put on a path that could see them being invited to the National awards at Twickenham in September 2023.

The process is as follows:-

1. By 23^rd February – Club Nominates volunteers via RFU portal.
2. 6^th March – All Cheshire nominations received by the RFU forwarded to me during that week.
3. By 7^th March – Cheshire judging panel will decide on a shortlist of 5 nominations to be forward to Twickenham for consideration to be invited to National event.
4. May – Twickenham will Notify Cheshire which of our 5 nominations will be invited to the National Event.
5. June/July – National finalist(s) invited for the September Event.

The prizes that are available for each stage of the process are as follows:-

1. Each Nominated person will receive a framed certificate and a gift(TBC)
2. Each Nominated person plus a partner will be invited to Cheshire’s RFU Volunteer Awards Evening at Bowdon RUFC(TBC).
3. The Volunteers of the 5 Nominations forwarded to Twickenham will receive a Backpack.
4. Cheshire’s Nominated finalist(s) will receive Champagne Flutes and Champagne plus an invitation to the National Awards Event

Last year we had 85 nominations from 21 clubs, were you one of the clubs that DID NOT NOMINATE a volunteer last year?
