Dave Wright - Past President of Cheshire RFU 1998 - 2000 - R.I.P.

It is with considerable regret that Cheshire RFU announce the passing of its form er President Dave Wright.

He was a passionate and very sociable “rugby man”. A wholehearted flanker in his day who was a great supporter of both Oldershaw and Cheshire RFU. He was also a club referee for lower XV’s.
Dave was Oldershaw Club President between 1977-1980 and was the Cheshire representative for many years,he was deservedly honoured with the Cheshire Presidency between 1998-2000.
He was a great advocate for Oldershaw Rugby Club, moreover he was a gentleman with a dry sense of humour and was an Oldershaw man to his core.
A bon viveur who was always smartly attired, Dave particularly enjoyed his visits to Twickenham and he will be sadly missed.

The funeral will be at Landican Crematorium on Monday, 15 September at 1030.
