Macclesfield Rugby Union Football Club is a totally inclusive organisation which believes in developing its players throughout their journey from Mini to Junior and Youth rugby, and eventually into the senior game where the National Stage beckons to showcase their skills. Situated in 27 acres of Cheshire green belt the Club fields’ four senior sides and a comprehensive, successful range of Youth, Mini and Junior sides.

The playing section is led by the 1st XV, better known as “The Blues”. The Blues have competed in National Division 1 five times since the 2010/11 season and have been champions of National Division two (North) three times and currently play in that Division. The Second Team known as the “Lions” compete in the Cotton Traders Premier League whilst the social rugby scene is catered for with the 3rd XV and 4th XV, both playing in a regional League system sponsored by Cotton Traders and Howell & Co. The club is establishing a Ladies team for the future and all playing abilities are very welcome.

The Junior section of the club has every age group between U6 and Colts covered with a qualified and successful coaching team in charge of individuals and team development. With an average of 400 boys and girls registering each season, their success continues to make news locally and regionally. Each season sees success at many age group levels both in the numbers participating and the winning of silverware.
