Cheshire RFU was proudly represented at the annual Wooden Spoon International Tag Rugby Festival on Saturday by Bowdon Bears, Stockport All-Stars and Sale Crusaders Fin Club.
The festival, held at Broadstreet Rugby Club, celebrates everything that makes tag rugby special – inclusion, teamwork, friendship and enjoyment. Mixed Ability teams from across England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales came together for a fantastic day of rugby, with travel and event costs generously funded by Wooden Spoon.
A particular highlight for the Bowdon Bears was the opportunity for captain Joe Pyle and several players to meet and chat with the charity’s Patron, The Princess Royal, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
The festival once again demonstrated the power of rugby to bring people together, and a thoroughly enjoyable day was had by everyone involved.
