The annual Sale Sharks Residential Rugby Academy will be held at Losehill Hall, Hope Valley, Derbyshire on Monday 6th August until Friday 10th August 2012. The specialist rugby coaching is designed by the Sharks Academy Coaches and gives young rugby players aged between 14 and 17 years an insight into life as a professional rugby player. All meals and accommodation are provided and there will be multi-sport competitions in the evenings for everyone to enjoy. Each attendee will also receive a Sale Sharks 2011-2012 replica shirt.
This year, the entire Sale Sharks squad will be attending a day at the camp. Attendees will get the chance to watch a Sale Sharks coaching session and then receive positional advice from the professionals and ask questions on their training techniques. Speak to Dwayne Peel about passing drills, David Seymour about the breakdown or Richie Gray about the set-piece – this is a great opportunity for young rugby players to learn from the professionals. In the past few years, numerous attendees on this residential camp that have impressed have been selected to join our academy structure: Will Addison is one such player, and now Will is an established first team player at Sale Sharks!
The new hostel is a totally refurbished gothic-Victorian mansion, standing in beautiful formal gardens. The property is surrounded by 27 acres of peaceful parkland with woods and streams.
