We are delighted to host the Under 16’s Finals Day again and we hope all the players, coaches and supporters have a wonderful day.

Below are just a few points that, if we all work together on, will ensure everyone involved has the best experience possible.

Parking

There is ample parking on site and there will be marshals to guide you so please respect them as it’s a difficult job.
Parking is free of charge on the day but there is an entry fee at the gate pitch side which will include a programme this is £3 per person over 18.

Please note that there is a car boot taking place on the morning of the finals which may mean the car park is busy prior to the Shield Final.

If your team will be arriving by coach then please inform us in advance so we can reserve parking otherwise you may be turned away 

Dogs
Please ensure dogs are kept on a lead at all times and are not allowed in the club house or anywhere near the playing areas – this includes the Cricket field.

Entry
Charges are:
Adult – £3
U18 – Free
Payment will be made on foot at the entry gate pitch side.

Changing
On the day there will be 4 finals taking place – Shield, Plate, Bowl and Cup, in that order.

Changing rooms and warm up areas will be allocated on arrival but please try not to arrive more than 75 minutes before your scheduled kick off time as facilities may still be in use from the previous match and you may not have a changing room available.

Match Timings

Games are 35 minutes each way.

There is only a short turnaround between matches so please clear the playing area and changing rooms as soon after the final whistle as possible.

Medal and trophy presentations – runners up first – will take place off the pitch area.

Please take team and individual photographs away from the playing area to allow the next match to start on time.

Players
The maximum number of players that can take part in any final is 22 – 15 on the pitch with 7 replacements.

Pitch side
All spectators please keep off the playing area. The pitch is surrounded on both sides by fencing.
Coaches, physios and replacements please stay in your allocated shelter and within the clearly marked technical area.

Refreshments
There will be food and drink available to purchase throughout the event.
All 22 players in each squad will be given a meal ticket which can be exchanged for food in the clubhouse.

Photography
Please feel free to take photographs and/or video recordings during the event but please keep off the playing surface and behind the pitch barriers.
There is an official photographer attending on the day and his pictures will be available to view after the event free of charge – a link will be emailed to each club.

First aid
We are hoping to have a physio available on the day. However, we would expect each team to have a qualified first aider in attendance.

Code of conduct

  • Please respect the RFU code of conduct
  • Treat others how you would expect them to treat you
  • Encourage players rather than criticise
  • Respect the officials decisions at all times
  • Refrain from any type of abuse – it won’t be tolerated
  • Keep the ground and clubhouse area litter free
  • Ensure you have locked your vehicle and valuables are out of sight as the club cannot be held responsible for theft or damage.

Helpers and marshals are all in Hi-VIZ jackets and are here to help. Please respect their instructions.

Crewe and Nantwich RUFC reserve the right to ask anyone, indicating actions that are judged to conflict with the club or RFU code of conduct, to move away from the pitch area.

There will be no extra time in any match

IN THE EVENT OF A DRAW THE FOLLOWING WILL APPLY:

 

  1. THE TEAM WITH THE MOST TRYS WINS
  2. THE TEAM WITH THE MOST CONVERSIONS WINS
  3. IF THIS IS EQUAL THEN THE TEAM THAT SCORED FIRST WINS
  4. IN THE EVENT OF A 0-0 DRAW, THE TROPHY IS SHARED

 Any yellow card will be 7 minutes duration.
