Invitation to England Open Training Day

Please find attached an invitation to all ERFSU Member Schools to attend the England Open Training Day. Please circulate this to your member schools for their attention. This has already gone directly in a separate invitation to schools on the All Schools programme so you don’t need to forward it to them as well.

Please note:

  • There are a limited number of spaces available.
  • Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. This means we are unable to guarantee places even if  an application is submitted within the deadline.
  • If a member school would like to attend they need to email colleges@therfu.com by Tuesday 19th January to confirm their place.

If any schools have any queries about the event, please ask them to email colleges@therfu.com (not schools@therfu.com) where a member of the team will get back to them.

Disciplinary Procedure

Dear All,

Just a reminder that any red cards (offence & sanction) need to be reported to the Cheshire Youth & Schools Disciplinary Officer which is John Downham

johndownham57@sky.com

He will then at the end of the season give a report of offences and sanctions to the ERFSU.

If you need any advice with the procedure and sanctions please do not hesitate to contact him.

Wilmslow High Vs Kings School in Cheshire Schools U18 Cup Final

Cheshire School U18’s Cup Final between Kings School Macclesfield and Wilmslow High School will be held on the main pitch at the AJ Bell Stadium on Saturday 19th December prior to the Sale Sharks v Castres match.

The match will kick-off at 11.45am ahead of the Sale Sharks v Castres European match, which kicks off at 2.30pm. Season ticket holders and match tickets to the Sale Sharks v Castres match have access to both fixtures and this will be a great opportunity to see the best schoolboy rugby Cheshire has to offer. Wilmslow & Kings School have triumphed through their earlier rounds to win 75 tickets each to attend the match and will now perform in front of the Sale Sharks fans at the AJ Bell Stadium. Last season Lymm High School were crowned champions,  and current Sale Sharks player Sam James has won the competition with Wilmslow High School in previous years. Playing for Wilmslow High this season is Luke James, brother of Sam and we spoke to the pair of brothers ahead of the match.
