The Manx Rugby Football Union invites applications for the post of Isle of Man Rugby Development Officer and Community Coach.

The role is to work with Isle of Man clubs and schools in conjunction with and under the guidance of the Rugby Football Union and Manx Sport and Recreational Sports Development Unit. The successful applicant must be prepared to work extended hours on occasions during times of peak activity including evenings and weekends.

The successful applicant is expected to play an active role in supporting local clubs, coaches and schools in the development of rugby, help strengthen their capacity and performance, deliver high quality coaching with targeted groups of players, provide mentoring, support and training for club coaches and potential coaches in the development of all forms of rugby with all age groups and provide specialist clinics/coaching courses with players/coaches.

Applicants must have an RFU coaching qualification (Preferable UKCC Rugby Union Level 2 or equivalent), current Coach License, National Foundation Referees Certificate Part 1 or Entry Level Referee Award Phase 1, a recognised First Aid qualification (St John’s / Red Cross / First Aid at Work), current RFU Enhanced CRB disclosure (need to secure this prior to taking up the post).

Applicants must have experience of coaching rugby to young people and adults in a range of environments, in line with the RFU Coach Development model and of supporting and mentoring other coaches.
