CHESHIRE COMPETITIONS COMMITTEE – Finals Day & Vets Competition

FINALS DAYS

We have now reached a stage in the various Competitions where we are required to set firm dates and venues for the Cup Finals involved.

These are, as previously advised, to be played as follows:

CUP - TO BE PLAYED MID WEEK BETWEEN 19TH APRIL AND 3RD MAY
AT A VENUE TO BE DECIDED AND ON A DATE TO BE ADVISED.

VASE, BOWL & PLATE FINALS – THE THREE FINALS ALL TO BE PLAYED AT ONE VENUE ON EASTER BANK HOLIDAY – SATURDAY 19TH APRIL COMMENCING 11.30.

VETS
– TO BE PLAYED AT ONE VENUE ON MONDAY 5TH MAY.

VENUES The opportunity to host each of these 3 events is there for any Club who
wishes so to do.
Full details of the requirements which we ask to be met, will be advised to all clubs.volunteering to take on this task of hosting.

A decision will be made shortly, and any club interested in taking on this task, should send advice of their interest to me, by email as soon as possible

VETS COMPETITION

At the start of the current Season, Invitations/Entry Forms were sent to all Clubs, inviting them to take part again in the Vets Competition in the same format as last year, i.e. on a one day event at one venue.

This proved to be a most successful event at Bowdon R.U.F .C.

However the response in terms of Entries was at that time, less than hoped for, so it was decided that this Committee, in the hope that Clubs will have got their Vets Teams organised, would re-issue the invitations and consider the matter again in the light of responses received.

I am therefore carrying out that task, and am now asking Entries to be sent to me as soon as possible so that we can get on as soon as possible with making arrangements in respect of details/Venue etc.

We were more than happy with the efforts of Bowdon R.U.F.C. in their hosting this event, but being fair to all, the invitation is being offered now, for any other interested Club to put their name forward for consideration. Full details/responsibilities will be provided upon request.

Please respond without delay, by email to me, in respect of both aspects i.e. –playing, entry and hosting, together with the name of the contact we should liaise with.

Thanks
